2010年代に自身が主宰するレーベルSIGNAL DADAより『post punk』など先鋭的な作品を立て続けに発表してきたshotahiramaが、17年の『Maybe Baby』以来4年ぶりとなるCD作品をSHRINE.JPよりリリース。本作『GET A LOAD OF ME』は彼が近年試みている（ターンテーブルを楽器として用いる発想に端を発した）サンプリング・ビート集の最新版といった仕上がり。加えて本作では新たな試みとして、全てのトラックがElektron社のドラムシンセ／シーケンサーであるMACHINEDRUMによる一発録音のライブレコーディングによって制作されている。このタイトな制作手法により『GET A LOAD OF ME』には彼の作品が常に携えていたラフで身軽な佇まいが、新たな魅力として顕在化している。
