２０１０年に自身のレーベルSIGNAL DADAを設立して以降、中原昌也やevala、空間現代らがコメントを寄せるなどノイズ・グリッチミュージックのシーンにて大きな注目を集め続けているニューヨーク出身の音楽家・ビートメイカーshotahirama。そんな彼の活動初期に発表されてきたCDR作品や、ライブ音源、さらには未発表音源など"２７"もの楽曲をコンパイルした『Early Works 2008-2011』をbandcampオリジナルでリリース。

JandeathやProduktといった名義で演奏していた貴重なインダストリアルサウンドも、幡ヶ谷Forestlimitや渋谷Warszawaで披露していたようなドローン・アンビエントな作風はもう二度と聴くことが出来ないだろう。

So interesting that Callahan's lyrics + Chauveau's vocal strongly resembles David Sylvian's style. I knew of Mathieu & Sylvian's collaboration but wasn't aware of this release and from the get go I am very pleased. How did I miss this? Especially considering I listened to Chauveau a lot in the early 00s. Wonders never cease. This album is wonderful. Anthony Childs

Great drone-work by a master of the form. Snippets of mysterious short wave radio broadcasts evolves into huge, otherworldly symphonies related to Ligetis Lux Aeterna, but warmer and more humane. Absolutely absorbing! polinos
