ノイズ、グリッチミュージックの新機軸として大きな注目を集めたshotahiramaが『post punk』『Stiff Kittens』以来およそ2年ぶりの新作を発表！新作は『Conceptual Crap』と題され、全6部作構成のシリーズプロジェクト！ループやビート、メロディ、低域を徹底的に排除してきたこれまでのshotahiramaとはまるで異なるエモーショナルな音楽が全編を通して展開される。

全6部作構成の第1部にあたる『Vol,1』では、ノイズ/グリッチ、音の速さはそのままに不規則なメロディとビートが加わり、機械仕掛けのグルーヴが終始展開される。なにより、アカデミックな電子音響からかけ離れたチープでミックステープのような音像はどこか懐かしく、エモーショナルな展開には心まで揺さぶられる。グリッチミュージックの新機軸と呼ばれたshotahiramaによる新たな方法論はこれまでの彼からは決して聴くことの出来なかったスタイルであり、ファンならずとも驚きの作風に仕上がっている。なおジャケットデザインは、DJ MASATO(KANDYTOWN)等のジャケデザインを手掛けるイラストレーター・SUGIと、never young beach等を撮影する写真家Aizawa Yukiの２人から成るデザインユニット・RELAX WORKSが担当している。

アメリカの画家・Mark Floodをインスピレーションにshotahiramaがスタートさせたビートトラックオンリーのシリーズプロジェクト。2016年10月から発売が開始され全6部作で構成されている。また、イタリアのノイズアーティストMBやベルギーの音楽家Yves De Mayらの新作を発表するなど話題を呼んでいる日本の新鋭レーベル・スローダウンRECORDSから発売されている。
